When it comes to San Francisco events that perfectly combine fun for kids and fun for adults, I immediately think of the deYoungsters art party.
The annual event has the best of everything- interactive projects for kids, over-the-top talented performers that mesmerize their entire audience, energizing music, face painting, and of course- the best McCalls catering has to offer. But the best part of this event is the opportunity to welcome children of all ages into what some think of as a “prim and proper” museum and translate it into an accessible wonderland guests of all ages will beg to return to.
Of course, the 2021 deYoungster art party will not be in person. But in some ways, the 2021 format is even better! This year you can participate by purchasing an art box with FIVE DAYS of activities for children! In addition to those who purchase these boxes, the de Youngsters Art Party's mission is to donate over 1,000 Art Boxes to their newest partner, Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco. The Boys & Girls Clubs are supporting San Francisco’s Community Hubs Initiative, a collaboration with SFUSD and community-based organizations to support distance learning for high-need K-12 students during the school year, which is important now more than ever with school closures in the pandemic.
