My family had a dreamy quick trip to Dillon Beach over MLK Weekend. I swoon over the beaches in West Marin and Sonoma, so this was my ideal one-hour jaunt.

Pack layers! The sun was shining and kids were in shorts and t-shirts in January, but we had jackets and pants in our tote bags ready for the weather to change.

Stay at Dillon Beach Resort, a historic inn that recently changed ownership and underwent some major upgrades.

The Coastal Kitchen is open Friday-Sunday and I highly recommend the avocado and beet toast!

On your way up the coast stop by Hog Island Oyster Company in Marshall to enjoy oysters on the beach. (Don’t forget your gloves and oyster shucking knife - along with jalapeno butter.

Escape the hustle and bustle of the city, as there are plenty of trails and beaches to explore in Tomales State Park

Olema House and their restaurant Due West are always on my list for the drive up or back from Dillon Beach.

Hotel Olema is open, but their sister properties are undergoing renovations. I’m putting them on my visit list for later this fall! Enjoy!
